Create your account
Signing up creates a workspace: your own isolated shop with its own customers, prices, jobs and invoices. Nothing you enter is visible to any other shop on the platform.
- Go to printersfriend.com/signup.
- Pick a plan. Starter, Premium or Enterprise. See Plans and limits for what each one unlocks. You can change plan later without losing data.
- Enter your shop name, your name, your email and a password.
- Continue to the hosted Stripe Checkout page and enter a card.

The trial is 14 days and the card is not charged until it ends. Cancel inside the trial and nothing is taken.
Currency and tax region are set here
The currency shown on the pricing page is picked from your country and it is the one thing on this page you should get right first time, because it also sets your workspace's tax region:
| Currency | Region | Tax treatment on your invoices |
|---|---|---|
| USD | US | Sales tax where applicable |
| AUD | AU | GST |
| EUR | EU | VAT, reverse charge for EU businesses |
| GBP | UK | VAT |
Currency and region cannot drift apart on purpose: the tax scheme applied to the invoices you issue is derived from the region your billing currency implies. If the pricing page is showing the wrong currency, switch it before you sign up rather than after. If you are already signed up with the wrong one, contact support rather than editing invoices by hand.
New Zealand is quoted in AUD
NZ shops are billed in AUD because that is the currency the AU billing entity charges in. Your own customer-facing prices are unaffected: you set those in your price lists.
First login
After checkout you land on a welcome page, and from then on you log in at:
https://app.printersfriend.com/app/login
Verify your email address when the verification message arrives. The workspace holds you at a verification prompt until you do, so a mistyped address is worth catching now rather than after you have invited your team.
Forgotten password: use Forgot password on that same screen. Resets are rate limited, so if you request several in a row, wait a minute before trying again.
What happens next
You will be dropped into the setup wizard, which does the first four things every new shop needs. When it finishes, work through the installation guide to set up pricing, catalogue and workflow properly.
Two accounts you should not confuse
| Account | What it is | Where it is managed |
|---|---|---|
| Your subscription | What you pay Printer's Friend | Insight, then Billing |
| Your Stripe account | What your customers pay you | Insight, then Integrations |
They are separate Stripe accounts and separate money. Connecting your own Stripe is a setup step, not part of signing up.
