1. Business details and branding
Insight, then Brand and portal. This page controls what your customers see: the portal, the emails you send them, and the PDFs they receive. Changes apply immediately, with no deploy or cache clear.

Brand
| Field | Where it shows | Get it right because |
|---|---|---|
| Shop name | Portal header, storefronts, email from-name, invoice PDFs | It is your trading name in every document that leaves the building |
| Accent colour | Portal buttons, badges and links, storefront accents | A hex value, for example #FF5A3C. Use your real brand colour, not an approximation |
| Contact email | Reply-to on customer email, and printed on invoices | Replies from customers land here, so use a monitored mailbox, not a personal address |
| Contact phone | Invoices and portal | The number you want a customer with a question to ring |
| Location | Portal and storefront footer, for example "Sydney, AU" | It reassures a customer that you are local to them |
The panel on the right is a live preview of the portal as your customer sees it. Change the accent colour and it updates before you save, which is the fastest way to check a colour works on a light background.
Pick an accent colour that passes on white
The accent drives button and link colour on a cream and white portal. A pale yellow or a very light mint will technically save and then be hard to read. If your brand colour is very light, use a darker version of it here and keep the light one for artwork.
Customer portal copy
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Welcome message | The line under the greeting on the portal dashboard. Leave blank to use the default |
| Primary CTA label | The main button on the portal dashboard, for example "Start a new order" or "Reorder kit" |
Write the CTA in the words your customers use. A sports club reorders kit; a corporate account raises a new order. The label is one of the highest-traffic pieces of copy in the whole product, so it is worth ten seconds of thought.
What customers see
Two toggles that change what appears on the portal dashboard:
| Toggle | On | Off |
|---|---|---|
| Show YTD spend | The customer sees their running spend with you this year | Hidden |
| Show reorder favourites | Previously ordered SKUs appear as one-click reorder tiles | Hidden |
Both default to on, and both are usually worth keeping. YTD spend quietly reinforces the relationship with trade accounts. Reorder favourites is the single feature that most reduces "can we get the same as last time" phone calls.
Turn YTD spend off if your customers are consumers rather than businesses, where a running total can feel intrusive.
Your logo
The logo used on the workspace, portal and invoice PDFs is set with the rest of your document branding on the invoice template page. Have an SVG or a large transparent PNG ready.
Checks before moving on
- Open the portal preview panel and read the greeting as a customer would.
- Send yourself a test document later in templates and check the from-name and reply-to are what you expect.
- If your shop trades under more than one name, use the one your customers pay invoices to. There is one brand per workspace.
